Portable edition instructions

While the most of UltraDefrag components require installation to be used, the graphical and command line interfaces can be used without installation. Follow this step by step guide to prepare a special portable edition of UltraDefrag which you can copy then to a USB stick and use without installation.

Follow the basic installation instructions to install UltraDefrag on your computer. During the installation check Extract portable edition on the components selection page.

Check Show extracted portable edition on the finish page.

Copy the portable edition folder to a USB stick.

That’s about it! Plug the USB stick into the computer you want to defragment the disks on, open the portable edition folder and double click the Portable UltraDefrag application to launch UltraDefrag.

If UltraDefrag will refuse to launch because of a buggy GPU driver, update all the installed GPU drivers or double click the Portable UltraDefrag (No GPU) application to launch UltraDefrag without GPU acceleration.
